Personality: Brian is the laid back type of guy, when it come to his friends that is. He has the tendency to clown and joke around specially when it comes to his friends. Although he has this tendency, he's also smart. When the situation calls for it, he can also be serious. Something that the people close to him seldom see. Most of the time he is the life of the party so to speak. He has the tendency to be a loyal friend once you get to know him.
Past: Brian was born to a rather wealthy family. His father, Nicholas, was a well-known and respected businessman. His mother, Elizabeth, hailed from a well known rich family. He was the youngest of 3. Older brother Nicholas Jr. became a doctor and his older sister Katherine is following their dad’s footstep. Being the youngest and having 2 older siblings to be compared to, Brian was obligated to do good in everything he does. Being polite was something he felt like an obligation rather than being born with it. Growing up and becoming a teenager, he felt like he was missing things teens like him should experience. He wasn’t allowed to drive alone. He’d always have a chauffer with him. He always had to be in best behavior. Deep down inside, he screamed for freedom. For a normal life.
At 16, he started to rebel. Breaking curfews, doing the complete opposite of the what he was told, doing things he wanted to do, sneaking out... His father even branded him to be the black sheep of the family. At that point, he didn't care. If he followed what his parents wanted, he knew he'd be living a lie.
As soon as he turned 18, and right after graduating highschool, Brian moved out of the house and lived on his own. Something that made his father disown him. He never spoke to him eversince.
Street racing. It had been a part of his life since he was 16. At first he was just watching the sidelines. His older friends would join, he'd provide the money to bet. Under their "guidance", he learned he needed to know in fixing, taking care and even driving a car. It wasn't until he was 18 that he got his taste of his very first race. Of course he didn't win, but the thrill, the excitement of it all, he felt it all. It was then that he realized what he wanted to do and what he was good at it. Cars.
Living on his own wasn't all good. Of course there were bills to pay, not to mention food to eat. One of his friends got him a job at a local garage. From then on, his career as a mechanic flourished. His friends even told him that he was a natural. He could learn things easily, even getting better than those who had been doing the job for years.
After a year, Brian proved to make it on his own. Sort of. Everything wasn't always all that good but at least he was surviving. His life changed one night when he met this girl. She looked about 17. Even under the huge hoodie he took notice of her. He didn't know what made him approach her that night but it proved to be the best thing he did. Gloria Caldwell became a permanent part of his life that night. In more ways than one, they helped each other.
Now at 26, Brian is now running his own garage. It wasn't a big one but yet, it's starting to become popular. He made sure he got the best people. People that were his friends as well. Now that he is doing good, he is now thinking of making amends with his family. Specially with this father.... Something that he had thinking of doing for a long time.

It had been two days since he last talked to her. That fateful night. Nobody knew in his family where he had gone. He did left a note saying goodbye. Telling his mother that he needed to do this. That this would do him good. And not to worry. He was going to be okay. Going back was not part of his plan. Not anymore. This visit was not going to be just temporary. He was staying. In Agnes. He was going to make something out of himself. Or at least try...
Matt stood there on the middle of the steps staring at the door. Saying that he was nervous was an understatement. His palms were sweaty and his heart raced inside his chest like he had run non-stop for miles.
"Get a grip of yourself." he muttered to himself. Exhaling loudly, he finally took the last step and walked towards the door. Lifting up his hand, he knocked softly.
