x The Basics x
Name: Sydonna Pierce
Age: Twenty
Sex: Female
Hometown: Marsh Point, Maine
Intended Major: American Sign Language
Intended Minor: None
x Digging a Little Deeper x
Likes: Dancing & Clubbing; Sydonna loves to go dancing and clubbing, but doesn't generally engage in drinking and smoking while doing such. She knows how to have fun without being inebriated. She is very cautious about how she approaches her life, and only does things to have fun in a natural way.
Debating; Sydonna is quick. She can get very heated in an argument, and she is very hard to debate with. She'll not only bring in her opinions, but she backs up her opinions with as many facts as she can find.
Piano; Sydonna has been playing piano since she was only five years old. Every few months she plays in her piano teacher's school's piano recital. Mainly short interludes to break up the young kids who are still having trouble or are nervous. She always ends the recital with a big classical piece-- her favorite being Rachmaninov's piano concerto.
Writing; Sydonna has an eye for writing, mainly poetry. Her favorite type of poetry is sonnets, and she frequently carries around a book of sonnets with her. Her writing isn't as amazing as she would like it to be-- but she does do a good job with it.
Sign Language; Syd's always been interested in other languages. But Sign Language took her interest when she herself took interest in a pretty cute deaf boy back in her freshman year of high school. She learned the language for him and they ended up dating for three years.
Dislikes: Interrupting; Syd hates to be interrupted. She believes that it is the most rude thing a person could ever do to another human being. Let someone speak before you begin to speak.
Porn; Syd does not understand porn at all. Why would someone want to watch OTHER people have sex rather than just having sex themselves? Do as you wish to do.
Bad Singers; It is so awful to be sitting on a bus and listening to someone singing along with their iPod. If you were meant to be a singer, you'd be on album covers by now. Give it up.
Disney movies; Nothing in life is as perfect as a Disney movie. Syd is more jealous than hateful of these movies, perhaps because her life has been less than perfect.
Personality: Witty/Clever; Sydonna is extremely witty when it comes to speaking. She'll always be able to get someone back for whatever they say. She always has some sort of smart alec comment that seems to shut up everyone-- teachers and adults included. Her friends refuse to get into verbal arguments with her because they know that she will win the fight. She is very clever when it comes to... well... everything. She is like MacGyver in the way that she can turn anything she owns into something useful. She actually changed a pair of jeans and an old shirt into a dress for a formal dance.
Lesbian;
While most people wouldn't consider their sexual orientation a personality trait, being bisexual is definitly a big part of Sydonna's personality. She does take her sexuality a little too far sometimes, but only to freak out her homophobic family. She is loud and proud about herself liking girls, and only girls. She wears shirts that make her orientation explode like, "I Kiss Girls" and "I'm Not Lesbian, But My Girlfriend Is." Her parents don't exactly agree with her choice, but they want her to be happy in her life decisions.
Outgoing/Loud;
Sydonna is the center of attention pretty much wherever she goes. But it's hard to not notice the girl goofily dancing on the table in the middle of the party. She is extremely outgoing and doesn't care what people think of her at all. Her persona is extremely loud, and she is noticed pretty much right away wherever she goes. No one can mistake her voice for anybody else's. It's high pitched and always on full caliber. People like her persona for a little while most of the time, but after a while her loudness and outgoing personality seem to get 'old.'
Unstable;
While on the outside, Sydonna looks like a happy and healthy person-- the truth is that she is unstable inside. She doesn't really believe in herself, and she really does get hurt when people call her names like 'dyke' or anything along those lines. She doesn't quite understand how people can be so closeminded about things, especially about homosexuality. She is an on-again off-again anorexic, and her weight fluctuates constantly. Currently, she is at a high weight of 110-lbs. But who knows when the next time she'll drop below 100 is? She has done it before, and she will do it again.
Two-Faced;
Sydonna is extremely two-faced when it comes to, well, everything. She cannot keep a secret. She talks behind people's backs, mainly the people she refers to as 'friends'. Though, when confronted about her backstabbing, she'll always put on an innocent face and act like she has no clue what anybody is talking about. And strangely enough, she is sinisterly convincing when she tells people things. She has a charm that seems to be able to get her through anything.
Snobbish;
On top of being completly two-faced, Sydonna is also extremely snobbish. She acts towards everyone like she is the queen of the world. She holds her head higher than everyone else's while walking in the hallway, and will scoff at someone if they are carrying last season's purse, or wearing last year's jeans. Sydonna is constantly getting the latest fashions and the newest purses and the coolest shoes-- and she can't grasp the fact that not everyone can afford the 'latest' accesories or clothes.
Rude/Concieted;
As mentioned before, Sydonna thinks that she is the queen of the world. She thinks she is the most gorgeous girl in the world, when the truth is that she has a rather round babyish face. She looks younger than she really is a lot of the time, but she dresses to look much older. She is rude to anyone she thinks is 'below' her, which happens to be a lot of people. She doesn't care whether or not she steps on people to get what she wants either. She thinks only of herself, and no one else.
Past: Sydonna Pierce was born to James and Tamsyn Pierce in the summer of 1986 in the city of Marsh Point, Maine. At the time the two young newlyweds lived in an apartment above a resteraunt in the center of town and both worked menial jobs for little pay. James was a construction worker a few towns over, and Tamsyn had to travel to Kittery, Maine everyday to work as a cashier at the L.L. Bean Factory and Outlet. Both felt their daughter needed something better than the small apartment they set up for her-- so they eventually scraped up the money to move to a town by the name of Lowell, Massachusetts. It was a small community in which Sydonna could grow up in safety-- without her parents hoving over her at all times.
Sydonna grew up with many friends. She was a popular young girl and seemed to be involved in everything. Ballet was a main part of her life-- as was singing, and she was very good at both of them. Her parents encouraged her to follow her dancing and singing to it's fullest extent-- and now at fifteen-- Sydonna has been the lead in every musical she has ever auditioned for. She is considered one of the main double threats at the high school and no one wishes to audition following her because she is such a hard act to follow.
Sydonna went through middle school with many friends in all of the typical sterotypes. She could be having lunch with a cheerleader and go out for ice cream with a band geek for all anyone knew. She seems to fit in everywhere and get along with everyone without hesitation. Her parents were never worried about her getting anywhere in life with her personality. Her parents were and still are happily married as she entered high school.
High school for Sydonna was a breeze, as she was already friends with many of the high schoolers because of plays and the smallness of the town. She spent most of her high school career working in her parent's candle shop and dancing. She assisted three classes at her dance studio, and also taught two ballet classes of her own. Her grades her remarkable, leaving her with a 3.8 GPA to get into college with. Not initially wanting to leave home, she spent two years at a local community college in Haverhill, MA. She majored in Dance and ASL Interpreting. Now fluent in American Sign Language-- she began looking for interpreting jobs when she sent out for an application to UofMiami. She put down her job quest and applied at the college and got in. It is her first year, and she is now looking for an inperpreting job or a dance teaching job in the area around the college for spending money. She likes to go out, and thinks that the town the college is located in has a lot to offer a young college girl such as herself.
Sydonna knows no one at the college, and can't wait to get out into the world of friends-- and even dating, male or female.
x Sample RP x: Morgan had finally ditched Gwen to have her own lunch one day. Her twin sister was too busy scoping out some new guys. Either that or she was screwing one behind a vending machine somewhere in the school. That was the only thing that Morgan truly hated about her sister, was her sex life. And the fact that she liked men. Men disgusted Morgan to the point where even imagining a penis would make her gag. Health class was never fun for Morgan, especially when the teacher's handed out condoms. Because Morgan would never need one. Girl on girl action never ended in pregnancy. Never.
Scoping out the cafeteria for a clean table Morgan laid eyes on the girl she had been lusting over since the day she saw her. Through word of mouth she found out that the girl's name was Charlotte, but no word yet on her sexual preference. Although, Charlotte had yet to have a boyfriend-- and for a new and pretty girl at Richmond Valley that was almost unheard of. Normally, people hooked up within a few days. Especially if they had jocks lusting over them, like she heard Charlotte did. But what was the harm in befriending the girl? Even straight girls liked to experiment sometimes, so maybe Morgan would get lucky.
Morgan had raided her sister's closet today for lack of something to wear, and she was glad that she did. She looked more than presentable in her white dress and lime heels she even looked, dare to say it, cute. She tugged on the hem of the dress, despite looking cute she felt very uncomfortable. The skirt was far too short, and far too low cut. But maybe Charlotte would like it--- if she didn't happen to be straight like every other girl in Richmond Valley. With a breath of confidence, Morgan made her way over towards the empty table that the blonde beauty had seated herself at. It was clean, thank God. Morgan was a freak about clean cafeteria tables.
"Hey, mind if I sit here?" asked Morgan in her bubbly voice that got so many unwanted males attracted towards her. Without waiting for an answer Morgan smoothed out the skirt on her butt and sat down. She lifted her purse and inconspicuously placing it on the table, being sure to let the side with all her pins show to Charlotte. She had pins that glorified her sexual preference. Rainbow pins and things that said, 'I Kiss Girls'. It couldn't have been any more obvious that Morgan was a lesbian.
